The cobalt-base alloy (Co56Cr30W6Ni2Fe1.5Si1 wt%) was etched 3-5 sec after Murakami. The bluish shimmering carbides are tungsten rich (EDS analysis) and are etched out at longer etch times. The mapping shows qualitatively the element distribution.
