The ferritic nodular graphite cast iron EN-GJS-XSiMo 4.05 (4% Si, 0.5% Mo) is characterized by high oxidation resistance and high-temperature strength and is a typical material for turbocharger and exhaust gas turbine casings. From 4% silicon, ductile cast iron is practically scale resistant. The material can be used up to approx. 800 or 820 °C.
