The micrographs show the “heatsealing band alloy” after several months of use at approx. 1050 °C. A dense, closed protective layer of aluminum oxide has formed on the surface.
The hardness is 218 +- 6 HV0.5.
The SEM images show a cleavage fracture surface of the coarse-grained structure.
