The microstructure is strongly deformed. The hardness is 186 HV0,1.

CuNi3SiMg is a precipitation hardening copper alloy. It combines medium electrical conductivity with very high strength and very good relaxation behaviour. This is achieved by a process route with cold forming and heat treatment. Furthermore, CuNi3SiMg has excellent spring properties and good corrosion resistance. Areas of application are spring contacts, automotive, connectors, carrier strips and electrical engineering.
