Alloy with high strength and good corrosion resistance, used e.g. for structural parts in mechanical engineering or slide bearing elements. In deviation from the standard composition, no lead was detected in the present sample. The blue-gray phase in the α/β matrix consists of intermetallic compounds based on Mn5Si3 or (Mn,Fe,Ni)5Si3, which increase the wear resistance.
