The micrographs show the age-hardenable aluminium alloys with magnesium and silicon.
The polarised images in polarised light are not rich in alternating colours. This is probably due to the very small grain size.
The etching was carried out in different ways:
- electrolytic Bakern 20V 2 min
- electrolytic Bakern 20V 1 min
- 5% NaOH 4 min
- 5% NaOH 9 min
